Permits

A homeowner may purchase a permit only when they are doing electrical, plumbing, or HVAC work on their primary and secondary residence and related outbuildings. Homeowner permits are not valid for work on commercial buildings. Click here to purchase a permit online, or click here to print an application you can mail or fax.
A permit is required when any electrical, plumbing or HVAC work is performed.

You can call the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) phone line at (800) 839-9239 and follow the instructions provided. You may also visit our Web site here, click on “Online Permitting”, log in, and choose either cancel inspections or request inspections. Another option is to contact the Meridian Office directly at (800) 955-3044. Please note that requests must be made prior to 7:00 p.m. Mountain Time.
