When a Plan
Comes Together --

Middleton High School

Rebuild Project

The Division of Building Safety (DBS) exhibited its best qualities in cooperation and teamwork on May 25, 2007, during a meeting with the Middleton School District's new high school design team which was held at Meridian DBS headquarters. Architects and consulting engineers, along with school district representatives met with all of the various DBS design staff in a collaborative effort to accommodate the fast-tracking design review process for the new Middleton High School.

This DBS team approach to working with the design professions involving school, state or university construction projects facilitates better code-conforming construction plans and ultimately serves to prevent costly construction mistakes associated with inadequate construction plans.

The Middleton High School Rebuild Project has served as the first building block in what hopes to become a new approach in the DBS building plan review process.
