Plan Submittal Via FTP (file transfer protocol)

 Instructions

1. A FTP Client is recommended when transferring plans to our agency.
2. Use "ftp://164.165.246.248" (without the quotes) for your Host/IP/URL address.
3. A Username and Password is required, please contact the Division of Building Safety at 208-332-7133 to obtain these.
4. Zip all your plans, specifications, calculations and other documents into one (1) zip file for transfer.
5. All documents in the zipped file need to be Portable Document Format (PDF) files.
6. Include our competed plan review application or for modular buildings a plan review/permit application as one of the PDF files.
7. Transfer these into the DBS Plans folder.
8. Include a letter of transmittal or other document in the PDF file that indicates how the required fees are being transmitted to DBS.
9. After you have transfered these documents they will no longer be visible thereby maintaining all confidentiality.
10. When you are finished, logoff the State's FTP site.
